21st Century Buddhism

During the second half of the twentieth century, people from all over the world encountered the Tibetan tradition in India and gradually began to establish groups and centres in their home countries.  Many of these are connected to particular Tibetan lamas and traditions.  Saraswati Buddhist Group follows the Gelug tradition associated with Lama Yeshe and Lama Zopa Rinpoche, who established the international organisation called the Foundation for the Preservation of the Mahayana Tradition (FPMT). The group was founded in 1992.
